Milking Parlor

Rotary, herringbone and parallel milking parlors that raise milk output and labour efficiency.

A dairy milking parlor is the room or building where cows are milked. It is a key part of a dairy farm, where farmers obtain milk and optimise milk production.

Parlor types

  • Rotary parlors. Cows move on a raised rotating platform and can stand in different formations, such as tandem, herringbone or parallel.
  • Herringbone parlors. Cows stand on elevated platforms at a 45° angle to the operator's area, which gives the operator access to the udder.
  • Parallel parlors. Cows stand on elevated platforms at a 90° angle to the operator's area. The operator accesses the udder between the cow's rear legs.

Benefits

  • Increased milk production
  • Improved labour efficiency
  • Reduced risk of injury
  • A pleasant working environment
